In his current role at the University of Pennsylvania Gene Therapy Program (GTP), Tom leads a team responsible for managing industry and non-profit foundation alliance programs as well as pursuing new business development opportunities in support of GTP’s mission. Tom brings extensive biopharmaceutical industry experience to GTP.

Prior to joining, he spent 17 years at BTG, a global healthcare company, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles in the areas of Business Development, Alliance Management, Strategy, and Research Program Management, most recently serving as Vice President of R&D Strategy and Operations. Tom has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Thomas Jefferson University and currently serves as a board member for several non-profit organizations in the Philadelphia area.
