Ramon Salsas Escat has a Degree in Chemistry from the Institut Químic de Sarrià in Barcelona, Spain, a PhD in Computational and Systems Biology from MIT, and an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. As the Director of Business Development for GTP and the Orphan Disease Center (ODC), Ramon is responsible for partnering GTP’s technology and capabilities with pharma and biotech companies. In addition, Ramon provides business strategy to the discovery and translational
research projects, and is actively involved in the creation of new companies arising from the synergy between GTP and ODC. Ramon joined GTP and ODC with more than 10 years of combined research and business experience in the biotech and pharma sectors. In his previous role, Ramon was the Head of R&D Business Strategy at Esteve, a privately held pharma company in Barcelona focusing its R&D efforts in the areas of new chemical entities for pain and also gene therapy for rare diseases.
