Erika De Boever is the Deputy Director of the Orphan Disease Center. In this role, she oversees design and execution of patient registries and natural history studies, and development of first in human studies for the Gene Therapy portfolio. She is also responsible for interactions with Patient Advocacy groups and Key Opinion Leaders to identify research and development needs in neglected rare diseases.

Prior to joining the ODC, she spent 17 years at GlaxoSmithKline in various clinical development and project leadership roles. Erika holds a DDS from the University of Ghent and an MPH and PhD (Oral Health Sciences) from the University of Michigan.
